Yes the machine did come yesterday. Hubby went right to UPS to pick it up. Our friend had kept it from going out on the truck. Then hubby was helping paint a shop, then he came home and we ate lunch and watched the Olympics. Finally, he carried the box upstairs and opened it up. I took everything out of the box, looked at each thing, sat to read the manual, watched the DVD. That is as far as I got. I think I was a bit intimidated by it all. What to do first? What to sew? I am going to my sewing room right now. I am going to plug it in, wind a bobbin, thread the machine and sew SOMETHING! Maybe just a test of all the different stitches. If you don't hear back from me, send fabric!

Hi--I have enjoyed reading your blog since you mentioned it on the "other" CJ's Bernina list. :-)
ReplyDeleteI hope you are loving your new machine! I am also an Idaho girl, and read your story of the big storm. Glad all turned out well (well, except for the items that were ruined). We do get some storms, don't we?
Happy sewing--let me know if you need more fabric. :-) :-)

LOVE the purse!!!
ReplyDeletehehehe on sending fabric! hehe
This is such a funny post - send fabric! haha You make me laugh. It is daunting to have a new machine. Thats part of the reason I don't get a new one. I've been looking at the Bernina Aurora with the stitch regulator with envy. Not a good trait even in a quilter! And we all know quilters are the most lovely people. The purse is darling by the way.
